Yellow Removals is a removals company based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, providing removal services across Northwest, Yorkshire, and Cheshire.

3. Booking and Confirmation

3.1 Booking Process

When you make a booking:

  • You must provide accurate information about collection and delivery addresses
  • You must disclose all items to be moved, including fragile or valuable items
  • You must ensure access is available at both locations
  • A booking is confirmed only when we send written confirmation

3.2 Changes and Cancellations

  • Changes to bookings must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled date
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before may incur charges
  • We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to circumstances beyond our control

4. Our Services

4.1 Service Description

We provide:

  • House and flat removals
  • Packing and unpacking services
  • Man and van services
  • Furniture assembly and disassembly

4.2 Service Standards

  • We will use reasonable care and skill in providing our services
  • Our team members are trained and insured
  • We maintain appropriate insurance coverage
  • We aim to arrive within the agreed time window

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Quotations

  • Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated
  • Final prices may vary based on actual items and circumstances
  • Additional charges may apply for extra services or delays caused by the customer

5.2 Payment Terms

  • Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed
  • We accept cash, bank transfer, and card payments
  • Late payment may incur interest charges
  • We reserve the right to withhold delivery until payment is received

6. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring all items are properly packed (unless packing service is booked)
  • Obtaining necessary permits and permissions for parking/access
  • Being present or having an authorized representative at both locations
  • Disclosing any hazardous or prohibited items
  • Ensuring items are legally owned and can be moved
  • Providing accurate information about access restrictions

7. Prohibited Items

The following items cannot be moved:

  • Hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, toxic substances)
  • Perishable food items
  • Live plants or animals
  • Cash, jewelry, or valuable documents (unless specifically insured)
  • Illegal items or contraband

8. Insurance and Liability

8.1 Our Insurance

We maintain public liability insurance. Our insurance covers damage caused by our negligence during the move.

8.2 Limitations of Liability

  • We are not liable for damage to items not properly packed by us
  • We are not liable for damage caused by items being in poor condition
  • Our liability is limited to the value of the damaged item or our insurance coverage, whichever is lower
  • We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control

8.3 Claims

Any claims for damage must be reported immediately and in writing within 7 days of delivery. We will investigate all claims promptly.

9. Delays and Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures to perform due to:

  • Adverse weather conditions
  • Traffic accidents or road closures
  • Industrial action
  • Government restrictions
  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control
